Report on Patron's Day
Navajyothi College of Teacher Education celebrated Patron's Day with great enthusiasm and reverence on 22nd January 2025. The day began at 10:30 am with a solemn Holy Mass led by Rev. Fr. Joy Chittilapilly and Fr. Fijo. The mass set a spiritual tone for the day, filling everyone with gratitude and joy.
The official programme commenced at 12:00 pm, starting with a vibrant stage-opening ceremony that included a skit based on the theme of Patron's Day and a symbolic Ranga Pooja, invoking blessings for the event. Rev. Sr. Jincy Lazar, representing the management, warmly welcomed everyone to the celebration. The Principal, Rev. Sr. Gigi Paul, delivered the introductory note, highlighting the significance of the day and the college’s gratitude towards its patrons.
The event was enriched by the celebration of several milestones. Rev. Fr. Joy Chittilapilly’s feast day was honored with much warmth. Rev. Sr. Kripa Toms, a former teacher of the college, was recognized for her dedicated service as she retired from a neighboring school. Additionally, Rev. Sr. Pavana’s Jubilee, marking her invaluable contributions as a former teacher of the institution, was celebrated. These special occasions were marked by the ceremonial cutting of a cake and the presentation of gifts to the honored guests, reflecting the college's appreciation for their service and guidance.
A highlight of the programme was the release of the brochure for the upcoming National Seminar scheduled for March, which added an academic dimension to the celebration. Furthermore, the Principal, Rev. Sr. Gigi Paul, released two edited books, showcasing the college’s commitment to research and intellectual growth.
The felicitation address was delivered by Dr. Mary Ann Paul C., Assistant Professor in Education, who lauded the contributions of the day’s honorees and emphasized the importance of cherishing such occasions. The student representative, Sandhya P., expressed heartfelt gratitude through the vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective efforts that made the event memorable.
Following the official proceedings, a sumptuous lunch was arranged by the management, which was enjoyed by all attendees. Post-lunch, the festivities continued with vibrant cultural programmes and engaging games, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie. Students, staff, and management participated actively, making the event lively and unforgettable.
The Patron's Day celebration was a perfect blend of gratitude, joy, and togetherness, reflecting the values upheld by the college. It was a day to honor the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to a bright future.
